TEAM DAY OFF; LOOKING BACK

The guys are off today, but Red Bulls Reader is still hard at work. As we get ready for the FC Dallas match this weekend, let's take a look back at the win over Columbus Saturday night with some feedback from you.

What are your thoughts on the team's performance?
Did you attend the game, and if so, did you enjoy all the festivities surrounding the game?
Who do you think the Man of the Match was?
Who do you think was the Unsung Hero of the game?
Who do you think underperformed?

Let us know in the comments section below, and let us know what you are looking for us to add here at RBR.

MOM - Van den Burgh
USH - Osorio

I was there, but not for the early festivities. Skydivers were cool.

As for my opinion of the game:

They did great for 30 minutes of the first half, then seemed to sit back during the second. I love a win and a clean sheet, but I was hoping we'd keep attacking and possessing more. Overall, great effort by the defense.

As for the rookies, well, they're rookies. Hope they enjoyed and learned from the experience. But they got some growing to do, for sure.

MOM-Van Den Bergh

Unsung player-Goldthwaite

The team did not play that well and won so that is a positive, with a few additions and Richards returning they should be fine. Sassano did not do anything offensively and Borman looked very poor.

MOM - Dave van den Bergh
Unsung Hero - Jon Conway

Although the Red Bulls stopped attacking that much in the second half, it was a good strategy to not move up TOO much because we did not want to risk losing the clean sheet. We scored two goals and that is a great lead to have, so we did good at taking some chances when we could but our finishing still has room to improve.. Keep up the blogs RBR, many people I know read on a daily basis including myself..

Game-- good, Crowd-- good, Score--good, Passes to Angel--not so much. With the players they put on the field the games outcome could not have been better. Scholletto (spelling??) was shut out of any build up play.
P.S. Anybody think that last skydiver was not going to make it, or was it just me..

im truly sick of NJSEA. they were checking tickets in section 101 so non-ESC fans can't join the ONLY fun section. can't wait for our own stadium

The Red Bulls put on a great show for their home opener. The crowd was energized by the parachuters and the early scoring. Seems we are missing Dane Richards on the right. Stammler played his heart out and was very effective. Kudos to him. Would have had more scoring with Altidore in the lineup as they kept Angel marked most of the game.
