RED BULLS VS. REVOLUTION RUNNING COMMENTARY

RBR is coming to you live from the press box at Giants Stadium and will be providing running commentary of tonight's match. This is a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference semifinal series, in which the Revs got past the Red Bulls, 1-0, on aggregate on their way to the MLS Cup finals.

Great news for New York is that Juan Pablo and Jozy will FINALLY be in the lineup at the same time this season, and will look to show off their offensive prowess, as the duo was lethal when in the starting lineup together last season.

93rd minute: A shot from Wolyniec from 20 yards goes just wide.

91st minute: A yellow on Igwe earns a free kick.

90th minute: 3 minutes of stoppage time.

89th minute: A shot from Jozy in the box goes right to Reis.

87th minute: What should have been a corner for NY is called a goal kick. Interesting.

84th minute: Final sub for NE: Thompson for Smith.

84th minute: Stammler's shot saved.

83rd minute: A few chances in front of the goal, but nothing to show for it for NY.

79th minute: VDB's cross finds Wolyniecs head, and everything but the ball, including Reis, is in the goal.

77th minute: Both teams sub: NE Dube for Mansally, for NY Magee for Reyna.

71st minute: Borman to Reyna to Jozy whose shot goes right to Reis, who kicks it out, but a great sequence.

69th minute: NE sub, Hilgenbrink for Cristman. Revs looking to earn a point with the added defender.

67th minute: A corner punched out by Reis.

66th minute: A hard knock on Wolyniec goes uncalled.

65th minute: There is still a lot of time left, but if the game ends in a draw, and being a man up for most of the second half, this would not be a good result for the Red Bulls.

64th minute: Borman's crossing almost pays immediate dividends, as Wolyniec's redirect goes just over the top.

61st minute: Borman for Sinisia. Borman is dangerous on the wings, so we will see how this effects the Red Bull attack. VDB slides over.

58th minute: A nice buildup leads to a VDB cross, but its too strong.

56th minute: Larentowicz slots it to the far post to knot things up. Blasts it just to the right of the wall and out of the reach of Conway.

54th minute: Crisman fouled just outside the area. Dangerous free kick for NE, especially a man down.

51st minute: Cross to Wolyniec, but he is offside.

46th minute: Wolyniec for Angel. Right away a scrum and a red card issues to Castro. While on the ground, Castro kicks Goldthwaite in the lower abdominals after Kevin stepped on him by accident. Goldy get a yellow.

HALFTIME: A strong first 45 for the Red Bulls. See you in a few.

44th minute: A nice sequence between VDB and Jozy.

40th minute: Osorio's boys have really neutralized the speed of the Revs attack so far. Parke has been solid in his return to the lineup.

38th minute: The goal has energized the Red Bull attack, and the Revs look a little on their heels. Sinisia with a chance that is easily saved.

37th minute: A nice back heel from Jozy gives VDB room to run, but his cross is too strong.

32nd minute: Things getting chippy with Joseph, Stammler and Jozy. No love lost between these two sides.

31st minute: Jozy scores his first goal of the season and it was a beauty, beating several defenders along the way. A possible Sierra Mist Goal of the Week?

30th minute: GOAL RED BULLS!! Jozy with a fantastic run through several defenders from the midfield circle puts it to the back of the net from about 17 yards.

28th minute: The first set piece for New York finds the head of Goldthwaite, who heads it over the goal. He continues to look dangerous in the air this season.

27th minute: Angel finds Jozy, whose shot is deflected over for a corner.

26th minute: Reyna with a hard knock on Parkhurst that goes uncalled.

25th minute: Things are starting to pick up offensively, as Angel's cross to Reyna goes through as the captain was not onside.

25th minute: The Revs counter and Cristman is running alone in the middle of the area, but the ball does not find him.

24th minute: Jozy with a great deke to create space, earns the Red Bulls a throw in.

22nd minute: Angel looks pretty solid so far, almost getting to a Goldthwaite diagonal ball.

21st minute: A second corner for the Revs. Not much in terms of scoring chances at this point for either side.

16th minute: Igwe with a blast about 20 yards that just goes wide. The best chance of the match so far.

15th minute: Leitch finds Angel at the top of the area, but his shot goes over the top.

11th minute: First corner of the game goes to the Revs. Set pieces, both offensively and defensively, have been something the team has focused on this week in training.

9th minute: Yellow card issued to Sinisia for a tackle from behind.

7th minute: The Revs look to be trying to work the Red Bulls' right flank of Leitch and Mendes.

6th minute: Larentowicz down after a minor knock from Jozy. He's up and looks to be ok.

2nd minute: There will not be a first minute tally this week.

1st minute: And we're off. The first few minutes have pretty much decided the match is each of the Red Bulls first two outings. Let's see how things start out tonight.
