The Red Bulls announced Monday that defender Chris Innes will be training with the team starting Tuesday, April 8. Innes, 31, was most recently with Scottish Premier League side, Gretna. Serving as captain, Innes helped Gretna earn promotion from the Scottish Third Division to the Scottish Premier League from 2005-08 before he was released by the club. Innes, from Broxburn, Scotland, has also played for Scottish clubs Stenhousemuir (1996-98), Kilmarnock (1998-03) and Dundee United (2003-05).
What are your thoughts on Innes potentially joining the team?
In other Red Bull news, the Red Bull Reserves defeated St. John's University, 3-2, yesterday at Montclair State University. Jozy Altidore tallied a brace to lead the Red Bulls, while Danleigh Borman also recorded a goal. After not playing in the game against Columbus, Jozy's performance is a very encouraging sign after he tweaked his knee late last week.

Innes would be a terrific addition. Proven fighter, he knows what it takes to win and has the leadership skills to make winners of those around him.
