I almost didn't want to post because I was afraid of being reprimanded by the blog again. So I will say that as usual, the ref WAS terrible. Having said that, allowing a draw after being 1-0 up a man with the opposing team missing two of their best players was...less than stellar, and borderline embarrassing.

BUT as I said the refereeing was bad, not that I was surprised.

The meet the team event was great, I have to applaud RNY for that, and I truly appreciated that.

I will second kpugs and add it was good to see Mendes back out there..

Im tired of the excuses, ive been a patient fan for 12 years, giving the team the benefit of the doubt most times, supporting Osorio, etc. But give me a break how can you start Chris Leitch in the midfielder (he is not a midfielder) and how can you go into the season with Claudio Reyna as your starting attacking midfielder and expect to win. Osorio is not a miracle worker and I dont wanna here the league rules arent allowing him to sign players, other teams have signed players. Anf the player we do sign isnt better than what we have, come on????

if possible i would trade claudio reyna for Sharie Joseph any day, he is such great player doninate the midfield, i love the Red Bulls but we need better players, we have good attackmaybe the best in the league, but our midfeid is weak, any way had fun last night

it was great to be at my first game of the season, but it was painful to witness, too. first off, the reffing was atrocious. second, so was leitch's play, as usual. i hope this'll be a lesson to osorio that mendes is the man and leith is not. (he committed the foul and then turned his back to the ball on the wall, allowing the goal!!! ouch: bench time.) the team has to break this block of not being able to beat the revs, who really weren't that good last night.
