Red Bulls Reader noticed that there was some concern in the blogosphere that the photos we posted earlier this week from the stadium showed lines on the field (which it did). But RBR is pleased to report that after heading over to the stadium this afternoon in preparation of tomorrow's season opener against Columbus (finally), that the lines have been painted over, and the clean look you all have been clamoring for has been restored.
As for tomorrow's match, here is a basic rundown of events leading up to kickoff (start times listed):
4:30 PM -- Interactive Zone opens (Bubble)
5:00 PM -- Festival on the berm outside of Gate D
5:15 PM -- Celebrity Game
There will be other events prior to kickoff to celebrate opening day, but you will have to be there to see them, otherwise you will have to find out second-hand here.
Red Bulls Reader will be doing a running commentary of the game, so be sure to follow along as the game goes on.
The game will be Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Soccer Espanol, and will be on the radio at WADO 1280 AM in Spanish with Ernesto Motta and Robert Sierra.
HERE IS THE MLSNET.COM PREVIEW OF THE MATCH
HERE IS THE RBNY SEASON PREVIEW
Post match, RBR will be adding postgame reaction, so check back to see what the Red Bulls have to say following their first match of 2008.

Will the field remain without football lines until the NFL preseason starts?
