After the dissapointing draw with Cuba in their opening group stage game, the US U23s rebounded with three important points against Panama, by virtue of their 1-0 win.

The lone US goal was set up by Jozy, as he was fouled in the box by the Panama keeper when the keeper had no choice but to haul the Red Bull down to avoid a certain goal. But the goal became a certainty anyway when Freddy Adu buried the PK.
Currently in second place, the team will look to win the group with a win over Honduras on Saturday.
