2008 NEW YORK RED BULLS MEDIA DAY

The 2008 New York Red Bulls Media Day was held this afternoon in SoHo. Over 100 members of the English and Spanish media attended, from radio, television, and print. The event was opened by Red Bull Managing Director Marc de Grandpre, who then turned the mic over to head coach Juan Carlos Osorio. After both gentlemen gave brief statements, the event broke out into individual one-on-ones, with the full roster of players (including the just-returned from Olympic Qualifying Hunter Freeman and Jozy Altidore). The entire coaching staff, as well as Sporting Director Jeff Agoos was made available to the media.

Red Bulls Reader interjected itself into the festivities, which did not have the spectacle of Super Bowl Media Day, but was still a bustling event as media outlets jockeyed for time with the members of the organization.

RBR got some time with rookie David Roth (to check up on his rehab from knee surgery) and Hunter Freeman (just back from Olympic Qualifying). Video should be up soon.
