A goal by Eric Brunner was enough for the Red Bulls Reserves to beat the College of Charleston, 1-0, Monday morning. A full recap can be found here.
A few notes:
- Assistant coach Richie Williams was forced to play 35 minutes and suit up considering the fact that the reserves had no substitutes and Chris Leitch had to come out of the game. Williams played at right back and had this to say about his performance:
And goalscorer Brunner had this to say about "#35":
- Goalkeeper Danny Cepero played for the College of Charleston in the second half after an injury to the Cougars goalkeeper.
- The team is off this afternoon, though they do have a couple of mandatory meetings that they have to attend. Another morning session tomorrow before their match against Toronto FC on Wednesday.
