A good home result for the Red Bulls, who are still without the services of both of their Designated Players. A nice set piece goal from Kevin Goldthwaite was the difference. Jon Conway came up with the big save when called upon to preserve the clean sheet. The team strung together passes well and did not allow Dallas to play with space.

Who was the Man of the Match? Who was the Unsung Hero? How important was it to get this win at home during a long stretch of road matches? Do you think the team is rounding into form in terms of keeping possession and pressuring the other team on defense? What are your thoughts on the match?

Everyone can dish out criticism when needed for the team, but tonight the boys did a good job. Nice work, I liked the hustle and Sinsa is looking dangerous! Good for you boys now play the next match with heart, and show that we are a well rounded team that can play any man on the pitch and WIN.
It looks like we found our formation. I really liked how this formation turned out, maybe 1 or 2 changes here and there but we looked good. I can only imagine what we would have looked like with JPA up front, I always liked Magee as our attacking midfield, he's a very clever player and if he had JPA he could have done more.
SiniĊĦa looked great, wasn't afraid to take long shots outside the box which we rarely do and which has always been a problem. Van Den Berg continues to be our most effective player, I would like to have him as a winger so he could cross to JPA but he looks good where he is.
Overall, I'm happy, I'm still not convinced we have the players to make it past the first round of the playoffs which I think JCO knows so I'm curious who he has lined up for the transfer window.
BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR!!1
the Man of the Match is goldthwaite for me. we need some kind of offense - even if it comes from the backline. i liked sinisa's effort but he gave the ball away far too many times. the Unsung Hero is still dave van den bergh. i'd like to see him try for CAM over magee: he can score and distribute the ball and we need someone more dangerous like him.
getting this win at home was a big step forward. i was proud of how we defended - conway was solid, the backline held, and mendes and stammler shut down the midfield on our half of the pitch. our star-free team is doing much better than expected.
in terms of pressuring the other team on defense, echeverry is not our man up top. he rarely tried for the ball against dallas and was an embarrassment of a slacker. let's give someone who plays with heart like megaloudis or borman a try to play alongside wolyniek until JPA gets healthy, and we sign someone new in the transfer window. GO Red Bulls!
